Google Photos is one of many services that Google recently released as part of their general range of products and services. You probably already use a few of them, such as Google+ Photostream or Google+ Local. The main reason to use Photos is to save and organize your digital images. But there are more reasons that you shouldn’t use Google Photos to store and share your photos.
The Default Photo Editor in the Photos App – If you have an iPhone or any other touch-screen smart phone you will be unable to edit your photos directly in the Photos application. Instead, you have to go into the Photos app and choose the “default photo viewer” that comes installed with your phone. This is a nice feature, but it means that you will be limited to editing the photos that are stored within the Photos application. If you want to share images from your home or from your professional gallery you will have to download the Photos app and go through all of the images on display in order to find one you like.
Photos doesn’t support viewing images from the web – The Photos app does allow you to view images from the web using the default web browser that comes installed with your computer, but it only works if you’re on a relatively recent version of Windows. The Photos app was introduced just a year ago and is still only compatible with the latest Windows operating systems. This means that if you use an iPhone or another touch-screen device to take photos you will not be able to view them using the default web browser on your phone.
You can edit and share your photos – One of the most attractive features of the Photos application is its easy-to-use photo editing tools. You can make your photos look great by cropping them, adding text or changing color. You can also apply filters to your images and even adjust their brightness and contrast. There are many more advanced photo editing programs available, but the Photos app is still one of the best and most useful.

Can I share my pictures with others? – The short answer is no. The Photos app doesn’t work very well on its own, but most people are aware of its existence. If you want to use the built-in image viewer on your PC, you can click the ” Photos” option from the start menu and select “Google Photos”. Alternately, if you’re on a Mac, you can use the default web browser and visit google photos. Unfortunately, this feature is only available on the most recent versions of Windows, as it is dependent upon the Windows Photo Gallery software.
Can I edit my images in the My Pictures viewer? – Yes, you can do this. Even though the built-in image viewer only allows you to edit thumbnails, you can easily apply filters, crop or rotate your images. You can also adjust the size of your thumbnails and apply other advanced effects. It’s worth keeping in mind that Google Photos has an extensive photo gallery which offers lots of useful features, so you can easily find and join the thousands of great galleries online where your favourite images can be saved for viewing on the web. You should also try the default apps such as Picasa and Flickr to see what you can do with your Google photos.
Can I sync my pictures directly to my computers or to an internet gallery? – Since the latest version of the Photos app provides access to your own gallery on all of your devices (PCs, smart phones and tablets), you can synchronise your pictures across multiple platforms. This means that you can take pictures on your computer and send them as images via e-mail, or print them out on your personal printer.
Can I make unlimited copies of my pictures for the internet and other uses? – Yes, you can use google photos to create unlimited copies of your personal information, photos and videos for various purposes. You can create a private copy of your images for yourself and give them to friends and family, or you can publish them to your own gallery or social media network. You can also make copies of your photos available for free to other users on the internet and share them for free.
